Nantlais
is very conveniently situated 1 mile from the
village of Bronant where there is a well stocked
shop and garage, and a 10 minute drive from the
historic
market town of
Tregaron. Ffair Caron, that is
still held on the town square each year on the last
bank holiday in May, received its Royal Charter in
1292.
We are
fortunate enough to be surrounded by some of the
most beautiful scenery in Britain |

|
For those who
enjoy a good walk there are many public footpaths
that can be enjoyed right from the door. A
little further afield there is the Cambrian Way that
will take you through the magnificent Cambrian
mountains or the Ceredigion coastal path from where
you stand a good chance of seeing bottlenose
dolphins, porpoise and grey seals. |
 |
 |
Cors Caron
(The Red Bog) is a National Nature Reserve and is
located just outside Tregaron. It is a haven for all
types of birds and wildlife especially the
Red Kite.
There are well marked footways around the reserve
and hides from where you can study the birds and
animals. |
|
| The
coastal resort of
Aberystwyth
is only 12 miles away
where there are shops, amusements, cinemas, theatre
and a leisure centre, as well as the famous Devils
Bridge narrow gauge railway. The beautiful
Georgian town of Aberaeron
with its picturesque
harbour is just 15 miles. |
