Local Bridge Nantlais is very conveniently situated 1 mile from the village of Bronant where there is a well stocked shop and garage, and a 10 minute drive from the historic market town of Tregaron.  Ffair Caron, that is still held on the town square each year on the last bank holiday in May, received its Royal Charter in 1292.

Cambrian Mountains
For those who enjoy a good walk there are many public footpaths that can be enjoyed right from the door.  A little further afield there is the Cambrian Way that will take you through the magnificent Cambrian mountains or the Ceredigion coastal path from where you stand a good chance of seeing bottlenose dolphins, porpoise and grey seals. A local view Cors Caron Cors Caron (The Red Bog) is a National Nature Reserve and is located just outside Tregaron. It is a haven for all types of birds and wildlife especially the Red Kite.  There are well marked footways around the reserve and hides from where you can study the birds and animals.
The coastal resort of Aberystwyth is only 12 miles away where there are shops, amusements, cinemas, theatre and a leisure centre, as well as the famous Devils Bridge narrow gauge railway.  The beautiful Georgian town of Aberaeron with its picturesque harbour is just 15 miles.   Aberystwyth Promenade
 

Within a short drive of Nantlais there are some lovely sandy beaches where the whole family can enjoy a dip and many lovely picnic areas and woodland walks, as well as many places of historic interest such as the remains of Strata Florida Abbey  founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks.
